Summary:
Facilities Director is responsible for the daily operations of Sunshine Community Health Center's (SCHC) facilities and for the supervision and coordination of short- & long-term maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment.
Position will ensure quality control and adherence to SCHC's policies and procedures for all areas of facility operations.
Ensures building operations comply with laws and regulations.
Responsible for preparation, review, negotiation, and administration of contracts including oversight of individuals that install, inspect, repair, and maintain building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management.
Responsible for SCHC's purchasing & procurement processes.
Daily duties include managing from a big-picture view, as well as dealing with details.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Oversight of facilities department Oversight of procurement processes.
Responsible for coordinating the distribution of goods and supplies throughout organization, including deliveries Perform supervisory responsibilities of facilities staff including payroll, performance review & evaluation, disciplinary action, onboarding/training, and assisting in hiring practices Responsible for the efficient and effective use of resources to maintain facilities, which includes prioritizing work for staff, maintaining all infrastructure systems and task priorities & task tracking system Responsible for maintenance and inventory control of facility and janitorial supplies, department tools, equipment, facility furniture and equipment Participates as a member in SCHC's Safety Program and Committee.
Assists in developing, implementing and monitoring safety programs Participates as a member of the executive team.
Participates in required meetings Reviews cost proposals and pricing information Works with CEO and CFO in budgeting and long-range facility planning.
Effectively manages expenses for the department adhering to the operational budget In collaboration with CEO executive assistant, administers contracts and purchase orders with vendors.
Approve and set up of new vendor requests Compares bids from vendors and assists with determination to whom contracts will be awarded.
Evaluates vendor proposals to ensure that all requirements are met Confirms that terms and delivery dates are accurate Maintains database regarding vendors' performance and quality of product(s).
Evaluates competence of vendors Continues skill building and learning to stay current with trends, and implements appropriate changes within area of responsibility Meets strategic goals and communicates them effectively to staff Provides construction management for capital projects when a general contractor is not under contract.
Coordinates construction activities on behalf of SCHC in conjunction with other construction professionals when a general contractor is under contract a.

Participate in project design, as appropriate Create and/or review construction documents, provide feedback Create and/or review cost estimates, budgets, and work timetables Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction specialists Comply with legal requirements, building and safety codes, and other regulations Develop plans for, and coordinate the movement of facility personnel, equipment &supplies, as needed Report work progress and budget matters to end user Interpret and explain technical information to other professionals/contractors Respond to work delays, emergencies, and other issues Ability to work outside normal clinic hours, which may include weekends and evenings.
Available to respond to situations with immediate needs Performs other related duties as assigned Function as a liaison between leadership team, staff, and construction specialists Work with leadership team to ensure operations continue smoothly throughout construction project EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
Job duties require knowledge and training in the field of Maintenance, typically acquired through a formal degree or trade school program in related field, or strong experience in similar setting.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
